Exhibitors speak out about trade fair expectations
Daan Peters - Solo midocean
Solo midocean ‘Emphasizing the strength of our service’
For Solo midocean, The Supplierdays this year is not only about new products, but also about a step into the future. The supplier is preparing for further integration with XD Connects following the acquisition of both companies by investment firm Platinum Equity. "This may be the last trade fair where we still have two separate stands," says country manager Daan Peters. "From January, we want to present ourselves jointly for the first time."
Service and support
Solo midocean provides visitors at its stand with an overview of the latest additions to the collection. Attention is drawn to textile products on the one hand, and the wide variety of hard goods the company offers on the other. Peters: “At the beginning of the year, we always present a large part of our collection. In September, we focus on this again and present the latest new items. In discussions with distributors, the strength of the service and support we offer is emphasized, as this is consistently appreciated by partners.”
Market experience
For Solo midocean, The Supplierdays are primarily a meeting place for existing relationships, but according to Peters, new connections are more than welcome. “There are always visitors who want to explore their options, and we are very happy to explain to them what they can expect from us. Additionally, I find the trade fair a perfect moment to hear how people in the industry view market developments.”
Hanna Künstle - UMA
UMA ‘Establishing and expanding partnerships’
During The Supplierdays, UMA aims to inspire visitors with new ideas for stationery as promotional items and business gifts. The company is therefore presenting a wide range of products, from affordable giveaways to highquality gift sets. One of the highlights will be the official Supplierdays trade fair pen. “It is made from recycled material and immediately stands out due to its distinctive shape,” says Sales Manager Hanna Künstle.
Personalized on the spot
UMA is a loyal trade fair participant and was voted Supplier of the Year last year as a specialist. According to Künstle, this distinction motivates the company to further develop its trade fair presentation every year. This year, visitors can have a product personalized at the UMA stand, which has an engraving machine ready for this purpose. Künstle: “This allows visitors to prepare personalized Christmas gifts for customers or employees on the spot.”
Forming partnerships
For UMA, participation in the trade fair is primarily focused on deepening existing relationships and establishing new contacts. Künstle: “We look forward to interesting conversations with everyone looking for unique promotional products. Our ultimate goal is to further expand existing collaborations while simultaneously entering into new partnerships.”
